I ran into this guy in the local Rob ‘n Run – He was cutting up a bit and asked me for a map – he needed directions. Being the smart a$$ cut-up that I am, I politely told him “I can tell you where to go and how to get there without the map!” From there on we hit it off and he invited me over for some refreshments. (He was carrying a cold 18 Pak at the time – how could I refuse?)

When I got there I couldn’t believe my eyes. Now most guys think they’re in heaven if they have a fridge with a couple of 12 paks in it and a stereo in their garage. A typical guy hang-out. Maybe top of the line being an actual working tap hanging off the side of an old ‘fridge, a card table and a stack of old tires to set on and maybe a couple of hijacked NASCAR banners on the wall. Not to be outdone, Russ has a complete sports bar behind his house – including several flat screen TV’s, all sporting NFL Sunday tickets on them! I’ve been in commercial establishments that didn’t offer anything close to this. Besides, Russ did all the work himself – quite a talented guy. I just knew a couple of pictures of this for posterities sake were in order. Here’s one of my first attempts at HDR photography.

And no bar is complete without a security system. If you notice he has it ready to go on the edge of the bar!

Now for the icing on the cake! A complete sports bar with a TIKI bar too!

I’ll be back later…..I here my name being called – you know where I’m headed!
